On Sunday, April 5, Lori and I hosted about 90 American and Tunisian children (and parents) at the American Residence for the Mission’s annual “Fetes des Oeufs”… otherwise known as an Easter Egg Hunt. We had beautiful weather for the event, blue sky, sun and a slight breeze. It was a perfect day.
The Egg Hunt is a marvelous event for children (with some nice benefits for adults!). It gives them an opportunity to do something outdoors, and to play with old friends and new ones. In addition to the Egg Hunt itself, we had many games (including sack races, three-legged races and other events). And, of course, there was wonderful food and drinks, including way too much candy!
Events such as the Egg Hunt are about community and strengthening bonds, but they are also about fun… for Ambassadors as well as children!
