Hi and welcome to my blog.  I have the privilege of serving as the American Ambassador to Tunisia.  Tunisia is located on the north coast of Africa, on the Mediterranean Sea.  It is beautiful, with seacoasts, mountains, woodlands and desert.  It is a crossroads of history, with more than 30 centuries of civilization.  But what makes Tunisia truly exceptional is its people.  The Tunisians are a great people, engaging, insightful and open.  I am privileged that my job gives me the opportunity to travel this country and to get to know the Tunisian people.

In this blog, I look forward to sharing my experiences in Tunisia with you.  I hope, in response, that you will send me your comments and ideas.  I firmly believe that it is through dialogue, the free exchange of information and ideas, that we make progress.  By building bridges between our countries and cultures, we advance the values of peace, prosperity and democracy.  I hope you enjoy the blog.
