Ambassador Robert F. Godec
On Thursday, May 28, I was thrilled to join in the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the American Cooperative School of Tunis (ACST). You may remember my “Cat in the Hat” post and poem a few weeks ago celebrating reading at ACST. ACST is the only English-language school in Tunisia and the focal point of the lives of over 500 students and their families from the United States, Tunisia and 67 other countries. It is truly a cornerstone of the American and international communities here in Tunis. I was very happy to join ACST Director Patrick Meyer, German Ambassador Horst-Wolfram Kerrl, Mr. Pattii Ofosu-Amaah of the African Development Bank and ACST Board President Matthew Long (all pictured above) in speaking at the event and enjoying a hamburger at the barbecue that followed. Go Falcons!
