Ambassador Robert F. Godec
On April 28, I had the pleasure of attending an event organized by the Centre des Jeunes Dirigeants D’Entreprise (CJD), a very active young entrepreneurs’ association here in Tunisia.  They were celebrating their partnership with a great US group, Students for Free Enterprise (SIFE).  SIFE is an international non-profit organization that pairs leaders in business and higher education with university students, propelling young people to make a difference in their communities while developing the skills to become socially responsible business leaders.   In Tunisia, SIFE is currently working with the Higher Institute of Management, the Higher School of Business, and the University of Sousse.

I look forward to following Tunisia’s participation in SIFE’s World Cup, a global competition that judges outreach projects that improve the standard of living for people in need.   It’s great to see the magic that results when entrepreneurial talent is channeled towards community service – I wish Tunisian teams the best of luck in the competition!
